Sunday School Ministries Has a New Director!
Prior to his current assignment in New Mexico , which he has held since 1994, Stevens was senior pastor at Colorado Springs First Church of the Nazarene. Stevens received his B.A. from MidAmerica Nazarene University , an M. Div. from Nazarene Theological Seminary, and a D. Min. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School . Additionally, he graduated from the School of Large Church Management , a three-year training program through USA/Canada Mission/Evangelism. From 1985 to 1989 he held the position of General Nazarene Youth International (NYI) president. Also, he has served as NYI president for the Chicago Central District, and Central Region (U.S.) General NYI Council president. His experiences have included membership on several boards and committees at all levels of the church. Stevens serves as the Southwest Region representative on the District Superintendent's Advisory Council, and on the Board of Trustees at both Point Loma Nazarene University and Nazarene Indian Bible College . Currently, he is a member of the Board of Pensions and Benefits, USA . The SSM position had been held by David Graves who resigned after being elected pastor of College Church of the Nazarene in Olathe , Kansas . Dr. Stevens and his wife, Cheryl, have two grown children, Jeff and Michelle, and three grandchildren. He will assume responsibilities November 27. Adult Ministries Men's Ministries Has a New Coordinator The Sunday School Department of International Headquarters and Adult Ministries is pleased to announce William Marshall Duke as the new coordinator of Men’s Ministries.
